Hello all,
First off I want to thank everyone who participated in the open call for submissions to our yearly anthology “An Honest Lie”, we had roughly 4000 submissions and if we had let the deadline date continue on, I dare say, we may have had another 4,000 more.

This happened in no small part because of you.

Not only with your many submissions, but your word of mouth helped us to exceed our initial projections and have a large enough body of work to create a unique anthology, with a unique purpose.

So without further adieu, your Roster for the inaugural edition of “An Honest Lie” is as follows

So until the fall, I am sincerely wishing you all the best of success in everything you experience in your life, and a heartfelt well done to our chosen contributing authors.

Hello Readers and/or Followers of this blog!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to give you a smidgen (is that even a word?  it is now!) of what types of things you will be seeing on this blog.  In order to effectively do this, I interviewed myself earlier to get to know myself a little better as the Junior Editor…enjoy!

Who is the Junior Editor?

Well, that’s me.  Look up at the top right hand corner of the page here and you’ll see me.  Hi!  Wave everyone!

What does the Junior Editor do?

I do whatever Debrin tells me to do. :)

What is your stance on powdered doughnuts?

I am a strong proponent of powdered doughnuts.  They are essential to the well being of humanity.  You can always spot a happy person by the left over white smudges on their clothes…oh, and the smile on their face too…yeah.  Man, I’m hungry!  I think I’ll go eat some right now…

Are you back?

Yes.

What did you do before you were the Junior Editor of a big time publishing company?

I was (and still am) an elementary school librarian.  But right now it’s summer, so I don’t have school and have to balance J.E. responsibilities with relaxing/vacation responsibilities…it can be stressful sometimes.

How do you manage your time?  You must be SO busy!

Well, actually, I am.  I get up around 9 or 10 in the morning, eat something, watch TV, chat online, go meet a friend or two for lunch, watch more TV, chat online some more, eat dinner, go to yoga class so I can wind down, clean up my mess from my very hectic day, and then go to bed.  So, I don’t know how on earth I’m going to fit all this “Junior Editor” stuff in my day…it’s packed!

What types of things will we be seeing on this blog?

There will be updates about events happening with OHP, posts about things that happened in case you missed them or weren’t fortunate enough to live in the great city of Dallas (or wherever we are at the time) and you missed it, or basically anything I feel (or Debrin feels) I should put up here.  I don’t know, just check the blog and you’ll see what you see.  I mean, I can’t predict the future and I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep.  But I can promise you that if you read this blog while eating a powdered doughnut, you will get so much more out of it than if you are not eating one!

Happy reading and eating everyone!!!!
