The Opportunity Project

It began with dreams, simple ordinary dreams.

Ordinary dreams that changed the way we maintained our agriculture, our housing, everything from cabinet making to the internet, each of these first began as a dream, a simple ordinary dream, an idea; a conceptual abstraction that creates a desire, a need; a need to do something differently.

A need, if you will, to change the world.

The most creative invention ever created by humankind for doing just that happens to be the story.

Stories are powerful things, they have caused nations to rise and fall, changed our perceptions of our fellow human beings and opened up new doors of possibilities. The simplest of tales have caused industrial giants to weep and young boys to start wars. make no mistake about it, stories are awe inspiring things indeed.

Of all the people in the world that deserve to speak, of all the people that have dreams and visions and ideas that could in fact change the world if only we would slow down and listen, they also the ones that are not taken as seriously because of their age.

They may not have the language skills of your average college graduate, but their message is one of truth and honesty. It is raw and yet sublime, it is simple, and yet astoundingly complex. It has nuances, and at the same time it can be downright silly as well.
Never forget there is nothing wrong with Silly, Millions of Monty Python fans can’t be wrong.

Each Opportunity Project begins in the same way, I remind them that everything began with a dream.

A dream for a better life, a dream of equality, a dream that changed the world.

I then remind them that their dream could also do just that, and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to be a part of it along with them.
